Independent Supporters are individuals who provide advice and support for parents of disabled children or young people and those with SEN, through the statutory assessment and Education, Health and Care Plan processes. Independent Supporters offer a range of support in each local authority area, such as liaison across different agencies and advice on personal budgets.
