Transition Information Network
Who we
are
The Transition
Information Network (TIN) is an alliance of organisations and
individuals who come together with a common aim; to improve
the experience of disabled young people's transition to
adulthood.
TIN is a source of information and good practice standards for
disabled young people, families and professionals.
What we do
TIN provides information and resources about transition through
our website, publications and events.
Magazine
TIN publishes a magazine called My Future
Choices. The magazine is aimed at disabled young people,
families and professionals. It includes articles about transition
projects around the UK, interviews with disabled young people about
their dreams for the future, latest policy and charity news,
resources and events.
E-bulletin
TIN produces a policy e-bulletin called Getting a Life which
lists the latest policy and practice developments affecting
disabled young people in transition.
Seminars
TIN runs seminars about transition
which provide young people, parents and professionals with an
opportunity to explore and discuss issues in a neutral
environment.
Consultations
As well as providing information about transition, TIN also works
behind the scenes on policy issues, responds to government
consultations and works with leading organisations in transition to
develop and promote good practice standards in transition.
Please note that TIN does not have a helpline and we are not
resourced to provide advice to disabled young people and their
families.
