Strategic Partner work
CDC is working as
Strategic Partner for SEN and Disability to the
Department for Education (DfE).
As DfE Strategic Partner for SEN and disability we will work
with our Council and across our Networks to:
- Support the development of capacity
building across the Voluntary and Community
Sector
- Contribute to the development and implementation of key policy
initiatives
- Identify and support research to
gather evidence on what works to inform policy and practice
development and planning
Current work: establishing a Young People's Advisory Group
CDC is providing support to the Department for Education to
enable them to appropriately involve disabled young people in an
advisory group during the implementation of the SEN and Disability

As Strategic Partner CDC has created a set of webpages
with information the implementation of the SEN and Disability Green
Paper including information on the SEND Delivery Partners, the
local area pathfinders and the SEND grant holders.
