Our aims and objectives

CDC has the following key aims*: 

  1. To maximise influence on national policy and legislation
  2. To promote inclusive practice
  3. To identify new and developing issues that impact on the lives of disabled children, young people and their families
  4. To ensure that the participation of disabled children, young people and their families is central to work of CDC and all member organisations
  5. To build the capacity of the disabled children and young people's sector
  6. To ensure maximum effectiveness of CDC and its future sustainability
